Pablo PICASSO (1881-1973) Sable mouvant, 1966. Portfolio in sheets, in a cloth slipcase, in a lined folder. First edition of this last work by Pierre Reverdy, published after his death and illustrated with 10 aquatints by Pablo Picasso (who was a long-time friend of Reverdy). Edition of 255 copies signed and numbered by Pablo Picasso. Picasso's aquatints were chosen from his "Le peintre et son modèle" series. Published by Louis Broder, Paris. Our copy numbered 130 and beautifully signed by Picasso in pencil. Large folio. This lot was introduced into the European Union under the customs regime of temporary importation. In accordance with current regulations, this regime will have to be regularized either by re-exporting the lot outside the European Union, accompanied by a duly approved letter of landing and the required customs documents, or by paying the VAT and import duties applicable in the event of release for consumption in the Union. In the event of retention in France, import VAT at the reduced rate of 5.5% will be added to the auction price. This lot was imported into the European Union under the temporary admission customs regime. In accordance with applicable regulations, this regime must be regularised either by re-exporting the lot outside the European Union, accompanied by a duly approved landing certificate and the required customs documentation, or by paying the applicable import duties and VAT should the lot be released for free circulation within the Union. If the lot is retained in France, an import VAT at the reduced rate of 5.5% will be added to the hammer price.
