Cycling / Original drawings - Lot 45
Cycling / Original drawings Lot of 4 original drawings of track champions, in Indian ink by three artists from the 1895s: - Piette by Armand Biquard, 1895, 32x25 (3rd in the 1897 French championship) - L'Anglais Parlby, by Leopold Lesigne (illustrator from Rémois), 1897, 24x16.5 (his nickname of "bulldog" was not usurped, and for a moment deprived Jacquelin of his armband). - L'Anglais Chinn, by Luc Beaunée, 1896, 31x24 , (Jacquelin's n°1 opponent) - Houben, by Leopold Lesigne 1897, 25x20, from a Barenne print. Amusing detail: the head has been replaced. Hubert Houben (1875-1943), from Brussels, was a legend of the cycles, one of the few topplers of Zim, and Robert Protin's most stubborn opponent.
