a) L'Épaulé-jeté, superb movement, enhanced with oak leaves. Diam. 31 cm. With CA monogram on left
b) L'Arraché, untrimmed, in its original juice. Diam. 19 cm.
This artist, originally from Anjou, had a successful career in Paris, working extensively in sports, before falling as a hero at Verdun.
