Olympic Games / Summer 1972 / Munich Official torch of the XX Summer Olympic Games in Munich Height 73 cm - Width 21 cm. Traces of use. Stainless steel model, designed in three parts: a long cylindrical furnace, a guard decorated with the symbol of the Munich Games, inspired by a spiral evoking modernity and openness, and a handle engraved with the Olympic rings accompanied by the inscription "München 1972 / Spiele der XX. Olympiade". The stopper bears the signatures of Krupp and Hagri. From Olympia, the flame was carried over 5,539 km, mobilizing almost 6,000 torchbearers.
