Olympic Games / Paris 2024 - Lot 250
Olympic Games / Paris 2024 Olympic Torch for the Paris 2024 Games Official torch of the XXXIII Olympic Games, designed by Mathieu Lehanneur and made in France by ArcelorMittal from 100% recycled steel. Its sleek, symmetrical design embodies three essential values: equality, with total parity between athletes and a single torch for the Olympic and Paralympic Games; water, the central element of the torch's journey and of the events, symbolized by wave and vibration effects; and appeasement, represented by gentle curves evoking fraternity and the Olympic truce. Measuring 70 cm high and weighing 1.5 kg, it features a champagne-gold hue (Matthieu Lehanneur imagined a color resulting from a mixture of gold, silver and bronze) and has an identical top and bottom diameter of 3.5 cm. Produced in a limited edition of just 2,000 pieces - 1,500 for the Olympic Games and 500 for the Paralympic Games - it stands out for its limited production run, five times less than previous Games. There are a few scratches and chips.
