NASA. LARGE FORMAT. Extraordinary view of an Extra-Vehicular mission from space shuttle Discovery (Mission STS-64). The photograph was taken during a test of the Simplified Rescue Aid Device (SAFER). This device is used during extravehicular activities (EVA). The SAFER is a small autonomous mobility unit for crew members used during a spacewalk.
