NASA. LARGE FORMAT. James Webb Telescope. This terrifying image combines data from both telescopes, revealing a pair of spooky eyes in space. These eyes are in fact the nuclei of two galaxies. The smaller spiral galaxy on the left has slowly "slipped" behind the larger galaxy on the right. It's possible that these two galaxies will cross paths several times over the coming millions of years. Their cores and arms could eventually merge, leaving behind completely reshaped arms and an even brighter Cyclops "eye" at the core. Vintage chromogenic print.
