Attributed to Cazzaniga in Rome A highly original and unusual brooch in 18K 750-thousandth yellow gold depicting the Gorgon Medusa with fully chased hair and wings, punctuated by two emeralds and two opal cabochons, crowned with a pear-cut diamond, a cushion-cut sapphire, an opal cabochon, a ruby cabochon and a turquoise cabochon; The head is adorned with two snakes and centered with a 0.20-carat modern-cut diamond, and the eyes are studded with ruby cabochons. A piriform cabochon ruby, an old cushion-cut diamond and a pear-cut sapphire in cabochon, all set in a closed setting. The set supports a cream-colored baroque pearl, crowned by a trendy motif punctuated by a turquoise cabochon and an emerald cabochon. Double safety pin.
