AMERICA. 1790. Speech to the National Assembly by Mr. William Henry VERNON, on behalf of the United Citizens of America. Séance du 10 Juillet 1790. Printed by order of the Assembly (for the Fête de la Fédération on July 14, 1790.) Speech delivered on July 10, 1790, on behalf of the United States citizens in Paris (whose names are printed following the speech). Highly complimentary of the Assembly, they ask that it "grant the honor of attending the august ceremony which must ensure the happiness of France forever". This is followed by the reply from the President of the Assembly, who is pleased to grant the requested authorization to take part in L'anniversaire 14 juillet 1789, ou fête de la fédération.
