MERCURY MISSIONS (1961-1963) Lot of 6 black and white photographic prints of Gordon Cooper 4 days before his launch: - Two vintage NASA prints (20 x 25 cm) captioned on the back, bearing the numbers 63-MA-106 and 63-MA-107: Gordon Cooper with members of NASA. - Vintage NASA print (20 x 25 cm) captioned on the back, bearing number 63-MA9-38: Astronaut ready to undergo strength tests in a centrifuge. - Vintage NASA print (20 x 25 cm) captioned on the back, bearing number 63-MA-49: Cooper on the Cape Canaveral launch pad, in front of the Atlas rocket. - Vintage NASA print (20 x 25cm) captioned on the back, bearing number 63-MA9-105: portrait of the astronaut during a briefing. - Vintage NASA print (20 x 25cm) captioned on the back, bearing number 63-MA9-99: Cooper, pensive, in the Mercury control room. Mercury MA-9 was the 6th and final mission of the Mercury program. It was piloted by astronaut Gordon Cooper. It was launched on May 15, 1963, and returned to earth on May 16.
