APOLLO MISSIONS (1967-1972) - APOLLO 7 (October 11-22, 1968) Silver medal for Apollo 4's Saturn V rocket, mission AS 501: November 9, 1967 was the very first flight of the Saturn V rocket, designed for lunar missions, with validation of the operation of its 3 stages and re-entry into the atmosphere (unmanned test flight). The medal is inscribed on one side: "The largest weight ever launched from earth", and on the other side: "Vehicle Assembly Building, worlds largest building, 129,482,000 cu.ft". Diam. 4 cm.
