EARTH PHOTOS TAKEN BY SATELLITE OR AIR (1969-1978) Color photo of the town of Lubbock, Texas. An extremely devastating tornado hit the town the day before the photo was taken (May 10, 1970), and much of the housing was destroyed, although not visible to the naked eye in the aerial photo (mission 128-B), for NASA's Earth Observation Division, Manned Spacecraft Center (Houston, Texas). Vintage NASA black and white print (20.5 x 25.5cm), dated June 21, 1971, captioned on the back and numbered 71-H-962.
