SPACE SHUTTLE MISSIONS Two authentic pieces of SRB (Solid Rocket Boosters) from the November 12, 1981 STS-2 mission aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia, destroyed on its return to Earth on February 1, 2003. Transmitted on December 2, 1981 by an employee of "United Technologies United Space Boosters". The boosters were recovered from the Atlantic Ocean after launch. These 2 pieces, of different sizes, are accompanied by a color photo (21.5 x 28cm) showing the recovery of the boosters by the Freedom Star ship.
