SPACE SHUTTLE MISSIONS Set of 11 fabric badges (embroidered), representing the badges of the following missions, in various sizes and shapes (approx. 10cm): - 1 badge commemorating the 50th anniversary of the USA in space from 1958 to 2008. - 1 badge STS 38 - launched November 15, 1990 (Atlantis) - 1 badge STS 107 -launched February 1, 2003 (Columbia) - 1 badge STS 118 - launched August 8, 2007 (Endeavour) - 1 badge STS 122 - launched February 7, 2008 (Atlantis) - 1 badge STS 127 - launched on July 15, 2009 (Endeavour) - 1 badge STS 134-launched on May 16, 2011 (Endeavour) -1 badge STS 135 -launched July 8, 2011 (Atlantis) Attached: a large embroidered patch paying tribute to the astronauts who died during the Apollo 1 mission (January 27, 1967), the Space Shuttle Challenger accident (January 28, 1986) and the Space Shuttle Columbia accident (February 1, 2003). During these 3 missions, 17 astronauts lost their lives. The 30 cm diameter patch bears the words: "Fallen heroes, their memory lives on, their spirit will carry us higher".
