RUSSIA Stamp commemorating the cosmonauts of the 1962 Vostok space program: Gagarin, Titov, Nikolayev and Popovich. Inscriptions in Russian on the colored stamp, cancelled June 27, 1965. 15 x 6.5cm. Enclosed: 2 stamps: one depicting the very first Sputnik 1 satellite launched on October 4, 1957 (1962 color stamp, USSR postage). 3.5 x 2.5cm. The 2nd stamp commemorates the launch of Voskhod 1 on October 12, 1964, with cosmonauts Vladimir Komarov, Boris Egorov and Konstantiin Feokistov on board. Color stamp 8 x 3 cm.
