Set of 3 colored Russian postage stamps, designed by cosmonaut Alexis Leonov, dating from 1968. Sheet size 11 x 7 cm, each stamp measuring 3.5 cm.
4 missions are featured:
-1 4-kopek stamp commemorating the very first human spacewalk, performed by Alexei Leonov for 12 minutes (Voskhod 2 mission of March 18-19, 1965, with cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Pavel Beliaiev). Drawing on the stamp.
- The first soft landing on the moon by the Luna 9 probe on February 3, 1966. The purpose of the probe was to obtain information on the characteristics of the lunar soil (stamp without drawing).
- 1 stamp of 6 kopeks illustrating the very first Soviet automatic docking between the Cosmos 186 (launched on October 27, 1967) and Cosmos 188, launched on October 30, 1967. The two spacecraft remain docked for 3 h 30 min, then separate and return to Earth.
- 1 10-kopek stamp commemorating the first landing of a space probe, Venera 4, on the planet Venus on October 10, 1967. Drawing on the stamp.
