RUSSIA Set of 3 colored Russian postage stamps, designed by cosmonaut Alexis Leonov, dating from 1968. Sheet size 11 x 7 cm, each stamp measuring 3.5 cm. 4 missions are featured: -1 4-kopek stamp commemorating the very first human spacewalk, performed by Alexei Leonov for 12 minutes (Voskhod 2 mission of March 18-19, 1965, with cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Pavel Beliaiev). Drawing on the stamp. - The first soft landing on the moon by the Luna 9 probe on February 3, 1966. The purpose of the probe was to obtain information on the characteristics of the lunar soil (stamp without drawing). - 1 stamp of 6 kopeks illustrating the very first Soviet automatic docking between the Cosmos 186 (launched on October 27, 1967) and Cosmos 188, launched on October 30, 1967.
