Attributed to Durand - Leriche Original and very rich brooch in 18K 750 thousandths rose gold and 800 thousandths silver with a motif evoking the symbols of the Sea Gods, featuring a trident set with 32 rail-set calibrated sapphires and octopus mendibules set with 81 grain-set rose-cut diamonds. Pin system with snail and hook for hanging a pocket watch. It holds an 18K 750 thousandths pink gold and 800 thousandths silver pocket watch with mechanical movement. - round case, smooth bezel, fluted crown, diamond-cut trefoil bezel, back set with 72 rose-cut diamonds in a grained setting, all centered with a round-cut sapphire in a closed setting (very fine openwork in a honeycomb pattern), white gold cuvette signed. - White enamel dial with gilded pearled minute track, blue-painted Arabic numerals, Louis hands. Hand-wound mechanical movement Case signed Durand Leriche in Paris - 4 rue Montesquieu and numbered 30693. Watch diameter: 24 mm - Height: 60 mm Gross weight: 30.64 g Expert's note: Durand - Leriche, active in Paris, was awarded a prize at the Exposition Universelle de Paris in 1900 for a brooch representing Loïs Füller, a work enamelled by Tourette, one of the greatest specialists in Art Nouveau, notably for Maison Vever.
