Longines (movement) Historic steel pocket watch with mechanical movement. - Round case, smooth bezel, fluted crown with integrated push-piece, double case-back with Japanese engraving. - White enamel dial, black painted Arabic numerals, pear-shaped hands, 30-minute elapsed totalizer at 3 o'clock, small seconds at 6 o'clock. Hand-wound column-wheel mechanical movement signed Longines and numbered 1768806 calibre 19 73 N. Case numbered 1121592, SKS in an oval and marked in Japanese "Japanase Air Force 934". Diameter: 50 mm Condition report: Good overall condition, scratches and bumps from use, watch works at time of appraisal, overhaul recommended. Expert's note: Bought from an American collector by Joël Duval, this watch served in the Japanese Air Force during WWII. Produced according to the Longines archives around 1927, it has its period military engraving.
