VIGNETTE. CALVADOS. Military discharge signed by Major General LA BAROLIÉRE and the Council of the 43rd Demi-Brigade d'Infanterie de Ligne. (year IX), of Brigade Chief Raimond VIVIÈS (future General). Done at CAEN (14) on fructidor 1st, Year 9 (August 19, 1801). Discharge from service for citizen Prosper Félix TERNIÈRE, Grenadier sergeant-major, native of Saint-Laurent-de-Terregatte (Manche), age 50, who has served since May 3, 1769 and fought in the war campaigns from 1782 to Year 9. Engraved patent (41 x 35), filled in with ink. Superb engraved vignette.
