Modernist ring in 18K yellow gold 750 thousandths, featuring a large oval citrine in claw-setting, the setting with a crumpled fabric effect, amatized and polished texture, a fold enclosing a second oval citrine also in claw-setting, the asymmetrical ring.
Signed on one plate, numbered 837 on the same plate, master stamp inside the ring body.

Gilbert Albert (1930 - 2019) was a Swiss jeweler and designer. Head of the workshop at Patek Philippe between 1955 and 1962, he was the creator of the highly sought-after asymmetrical watches of this major manufacturer. From 1962 onwards, he set up his own business, offering his clientele strong, highly modern jewelry pieces in a complete departure from the designs of the day. During his career, he received 10 Diamond Awards (the Oscars of jewelry), a record that stands to this day.
