Founded in the aftermath of the hippie revolution, the Canadian collective General Idea was noted for its ferocious humor against the art market, the museum system and the mass media - particularly the mass-circulation press and TV shows. He was particularly committed to queer theories. The text of XXX VOTO is based on a text by Yves Klein and is a tribute to the spirit of Miss General Idea.
