The Archie Moore (1913-1998) portrayed by Déro was fond of the little goat. He was approaching 40 in 1952 when he won his 1st world middleweight title, holding it until 1960. He held a belt until 1962, thanks to the two world federations to which he belonged. Willie Pep (1922-2006), featherweight, fought 241 times between 1940 and 1966, triumphing in 229 of them, and adding world titles in competing world federations. This enabled him to enjoy a peaceful retirement.
