Olympic Games / Winter, 2006 / Turin Official torch signed "20th Olympic Winter Games, Turin". With logos and rings, signed by master designer Pininfarina. Measuring 77 cm, it is said to bear a vague resemblance to the Ferrari prancing horse. In any case, under its steel-blue cloak, this aluminum-alloy marvel has given Italy back some lovely snowflakes after those of Cortina in 1956. Fifty years on, and the sacred fire hasn't aged a bit, the torch has even been rejuvenated and given a modern, feline look. It will have travelled 11,300 km before burning on site.
