NASA. LARGE FORMAT. Rare. First recolored Earth survey photographed on December 24, 1968 by the crew of the APOLLO 8 Mission, which saw the first human approach to the Moon, whose orbit they traversed, taking the first close-up human photographs of the celestial body. This first photograph was taken in black and white, before the astronauts picked up a HASSELBALD camera powered by color film. This is the first black & white photograph to be recolored by NASA. Numbering in the margin on the front. Legend on back label. Later chromogenic print. 40.6 x 40.6 cm with margins.
