NASA. LARGE FORMAT. Rare. This superb global view of the surface of Venus is composed of mosaics of images from the Magellan space probe's synthetic aperture radar. After its radar captures, the data was mapped onto a computer-simulated globe to create this image. Gaps in the data are filled by Pioneer Venus Orbiter data, or by a constant mean value. Simulated colors are used to highlight the small-scale structure. Simulated hues are based on color images recorded by the Soviet spacecraft Venera 13 and 14. 1991. Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering on front. Label on back. 40.6 x 40.6CM with margins.
