TARN-ET-GARONNE. PÉAGE DE BIOULE (82) from 1643 by the Marquis Louis, de CARDAILLAC, Comte de Bieule (or Bioule). Sign or tariff on parchment (44 x 34 cm): "Tableau du droit de Péage que Monsieur le Comte de Bioule (ou Bieule) prend sur les marchandises et denrées qui passent sur la rivière de l'Aveyron dans le juridiction de BIEULE". "On the Petition of Messire Louis de CARDAILLIAC in their County of Bieule... it is ordered that the Clerk of the Court will sign the Tariff or Pancarte of the Tolls that the suppliant has accustomed to levy on the River Aveyron in the extent of the County of Bieule, to be afterwards, placarded in accordance with the ordinance. Étienne de Malenfant Seigneur de Pressac, King's Counselor and Court Clerk, signed the Tariff, collated in Toulouse in Parliament on February 4, 1643. Details of prices for a load of wheat, tallow, iron, wine, joists, sheepskins, salted meat, herring or hake, nougailhous? chatanies (chestnuts) or pears, cheeses, tin or metal, cloth, almonds, oils, salt, linen or hemp, feathers, boats, gabarre, mill mules, rubble or bowls..." (Note. The Cardaillac family and town are located in the Lot department. Louis de Cardaillac (and Lévis) died in 1666. He was Marquis de Cardaillac in 1622, Vicomte de Lautrec, Comte de Bioule, Seigneur and Baron de La Pene, Montrodon, La Brugière, Gaiy and Castelnau-Montmirail, King's Counselor, Chevalier de Saint-Michel et de Saint-Esprit, Lieutenant-General in Languedoc).
