Pierre de BRUC DE LIVERNIÈRE (1766 - 1845) Vendéen general. Maréchal de Camp, he joined Condé's army, then became Major General in the Catholic and Royal Army of Vendée, under CHARRETTE. Arrested and imprisoned. Released by the Royal Army in 1814, he commanded the "Volontaires royaux de la Vendée" in 1815 - Letter signed "Le Comte BRUC de LIVERNIÈRE", December 25, 1816. 1 page in-4°: "Knowing the interest you take in everything that relates to our country. I hoped that during my absence you would take charge of the Legion's correspondence with the General Staff; I have instructed LEVEQUE to give you all letters addressed to me by Monsieur l'Inspecteur.
