Some preliminary pages in Latin. Numerous marginal engravings to illustrate liturgical formalism. A dozen full-page engravings (not collated) as well as end-of-chapter ornaments and ornate letters. Armenian Missal written by the Most Reverend Father, Brother Thomas Ripoll of the Order of Friars Preachers for use in the Province of Nakhichevan, where the Dominicans headed an archdiocese for Armenian Catholics of the Latin rite. The text is formally approved by Abbot Mekhitar of Sebaste and the apostolic missionary Khatchadur of Arakel. Period stamped leather binding, damaged.
