Letter A.S. "L'Abbé FRAYSSINOUS". 2 pages in-8°. Undated (circa 1816): "The Religious Benedictines of the Calvary established at St Jacques N°252, Ancien presbytère, have bought a house in which they propose to follow their institute and devote themselves as formerly to the education of young people. Their former convent adjoined the Luxembourg; when the King, still only MONSIEUR, lived in this Palace, he adopted the chapel of these nuns as his own; he remembers this and said to me on this subject: "I want my former Sacristines to be housed". They have to pay ten thousand francs. Six thousand have been found. Once the payment is made, they have no more worries. Particular Superior of this House, I have presented a placet to the King which is in the offices of Mr. le Comte de PRADEL".
