François Henri de PEYTES de MONTCABRIER (1766 - 1819) Rear-Admiral - Autograph letter signed "Le Contre-Amiral Comte de MONCABRIÉ" Paris November 10 (1829). 1 page in-4°: "Monsieur de Duc, ... one of my children who was in the country is dangerously ill... I have just left him, and on arriving in Paris, I find the letter you addressed to me announcing that H.R.H. Monseigneur le Dauphin, had kindly agreed to receive me today at 8 ¼ in the morning. This setback is all the more painful as I fear, in this circumstance, to have displeased Monseigneur ! I therefore appeal to your kindness to grant me another audience...!"
