Must (de Cartier) Tank Gold-plated ladies' watch with mechanical movement. - Rectangular case with rounded edges, beaded winding mechanism adorned with a blue cabochon, cloisonné back. - Muted night-blue dial, gilded metal sword hands. - Tan leather strap, gilded metal buckle. Dial and case signed. Unnumbered case, from the so-called American Must de Cartier period, gold-plated case on metal and not on silver Hand-wound mechanical movement. Dimensions: 22 x 23 mm - length: 20 cm Condition report: - cosmetic condition: fair condition, scratches from use and loss of plating, cracked glass, dial patina - mechanical condition: watch in working order at time of appraisal, servicing recommended Note: this series of watches in gilded metal rather than vermeil (gold-plated silver) is known to have been produced in particular for the American market (probably by Baume et Mercier, who made the same versions for their own brand). Although the dials are the same as the other Tank Must versions, as are the movements numbered, these watches are not always recognized by Cartier. recognized by the House of Cartier.
