This first winter week in Chamonix, planned by Baron de Coubertin, the Comte de Clary and the Marquis de Polignac, was quickly recognized as an Olympic event. Raoul BENARD (1881-1961) also signed the participant's medal for the 1924 Paris Summer Games.
