China, 20th century - Lot 371
China, 20th century Oblong jadeite ritual plaque with openwork decoration of stylized scrolls around the edge. The front is engraved with the Chinese characters "斋戒" (zhāijiè), repeated on the reverse in Manchu script. The set is suspended from a textile cord with a knot embellished with seed and coral beads and two silk tassels. Plate dimensions: 10.5 × 5 cm Condition: accident to cord.
