Pierre-Philippe Thomire (1751-1843), in the taste of
An important pair of chased bronze candelabras with a double brown and gilded patina, representing a draped and winged antique woman, resting on a globe, one foot supported, arms raised, supporting a mascaron-decorated basket, from which rise six scrolled horn-shaped arms of light. The cylindrical base is adorned with the profile of an antique-style couple surrounded by garlands and rests on a quadrangular pedestal.
19th century
Total height: 84 cm
Worn gilding; visible soldering on two scrolls of the light holders.
