MALIDE, 19th-20th century, sculptor and publisher in Paris Bull Bronze with green patina Signed on the terrace, bearing the founder's stamp LNJL Paris 15 x 19 cm Note: Les Neveux de J. Lehmann (also abbreviated LNJL Paris ) is a Parisian art foundry, principally renowned for the production and distribution of mostly chryselephantine bronze statuettes in the Art Deco period of the 1920s and 1930s. The foundry produced works by such renowned artists as Demetre Chiparus, Maurice Guiraud-Rivière, Jean-Antoine Injalbert, Agathon Léonard, Giacomo Merculiano, Constant Roux, Joé Descomps-Cormier, Pierre Le Faguays, Raoul Lamourdedieu, Jan et Joël Martel, Gaston Hauchecorne, Madeleine Granger Claire Colinet, Amedeo Gennarelli, Alfred Pina, Georges Chauvel and Jean Ortis. Production came to an end with the outbreak of the Second World War and the German occupation of France.
