Bordeaux silver ragout spoon from the 18th century. Solid silver serving spoon, uni-flat model, made in Bordeaux during the reign of Louis XIV. XV REIGN. It is hallmarked : . Charged between 1762 and 1770 . Sworn hallmark B/Z for the years 1767 - 1768 . Goldsmith's hallmark II with a star for Jean François Jouet le Cadet, master in 1765, still active in 1798. The crowns of the hallmarks were biffées, most likely during the Revolution to effacer the royal symbols.
