Perigordian silver spoon with coat of arms, 18th century. Solid silver serving spoon, plain flat pattern, made in Périgueux, probably during the XVIIIth century. the reign of Louis XV. It is hallmarked : . P/B crowned jurand hallmark which could have been used between 1762 and 1775. In effet, the P/A hallmark is inscribed in November 1762; there is no mention of the P/B hallmark and the P/C hallmark is attributed by Jean and Jacques Clarke de Dromantin to the juré garde Jean Fauvergé, elected in 1775. . Goldsmith's hallmark LM under a sun for Louis Montauson, received maitre around 1760 and still active in 1781. . Mark resembling a boot not listed, perhaps a charge mark used. during the "P/B" period.
