Rare ladies' "cocktail" wristwatch - Lot 333
Rare ladies' "cocktail" wristwatch Art Deco period, circa 1930 - Rectangular, geometric-shaped case with beveled edges in platinum (950 fineness); the bezel and lugs are entirely set with brilliant-cut and 8/8-cut diamonds. The upper and lower lugs feature an articulated geometric motif, also set with diamonds. Fluted winding crown at 3 o’clock. - Rectangular dial with a silvery cream background, railway-track minute track. Black-painted Arabic numerals for the hours. "Sword-shaped" hands. - Double cordonnet black leather strap, enhanced by two platinum loops set with diamonds. Ratchet clasp, fitted with a safety chain in 750-thousandths white gold. - Manual-winding mechanical movement. Dimensions: 38 x 10 mm Weight: 12.7 g Condition: Very good overall condition. Light patina from use. The watch was functioning at the time of appraisal; a service is recommended. Sold as is, without papers or box.
