SARTHE. Siege of BRUSSELS, 1746. Letter from King LOUIS XV, to Monseigneur l'Évêque du MANS. Written at Camp de Bouchout (Boechout Belgium) on June 1st 1746. Followed by " Mandement de Monseigneur Charles Louis de FROULLAY, Évêque du MANS, donnée au château d'Yvrée (YVRÉ-L'ÉVÊQUE, Sarthe) le 27 Juin 1746. The King requests a TE Deum in the Cathedral Church of LE MANS, for the success of the King's arms, at the Siege of BRUSSELS and the Capitulation of ANTWERP, after a Siege of 6 days. (Brussels was then the capital of the Austrian Netherlands). From the Imprimerie de Jacques Ysambart, Imprimeur de Mgr l'Évêque du MANS, rue Saint Vincent. Cupboard (48 x 38 cm). Collection stamp on verso. Some minor defects.
