" The Assembly is concerned with the great object of THE CONSTITUTION and will continue to be so... Invites all the French people to Peace, to the maintenance of order and public tranquility, to the confidence they owe to their King (LOUIS XVI) and their Representatives, and to that respect for the Laws, without which there is no true liberty. Declares, as for those who hold power and have caused or will cause, by their crimes, the misfortunes of the People, that they must be accused, convicted and punished; but they must only be punished by the Law, which must keep them under its protection...". - From the printing house of J.M.
