Pope PIE XI(Achille Ratti, 1857-1939, Pope from 1922 to 1857) / Authentic signature of the Pope in black ink following the request for apostolic blessing and plenary indulgence of Abbé Alexis Gauvain, Curé de Saffres par Vitteaux (Côte d'Or), drystamp to the Arms, calligraphy - original photograph of the Pope by the official photographer Giuseppe FELICI(1839-1923) - the document is undated, but the photographer's death date suggests that this signature was given around 1925 - carefully gilded frame by Marcel Golinveaux, gilder at the Musée de Reims (label on back)
