JUSTICE / Printed folder from the Royal Court of Orléans presenting the rulings "condemning to afflictive or infamous punishments, rendered during the sessions of the Court of Assizes of the Loiret department, sitting in Orléans, in the months of October 1815 and January 1816: a day laborer and beggar, a recidivist thief (theft with escalation of 2 cloth coupons), sentenced to forced labor for life, "to the carcanon in the public square of Orléans and to the withering of the letters T.P." - Also condemned was a widow, day laborer and beggar, guilty of stealing 2 iron wedges, sentenced to hard labor for 10 years and to the straightjacket in the town square of Orléans (50 x 41 cm, poor condition, chipping, missing without affecting the text, creasing, soiling).
