Gilles de SOUVRÉ, Marquis de COURTENVAUX (1540-1626), Gentleman and Military, a favorite of King Henri III, Marshal of France in 1614, he was tutor to Louis XIII. Signed on vellum (28 x 15 cm): Quittance for payment of his wages as Grand-Maître de la Garde-robe de Sa Majesté le Roy, given on July 15, 1575 (He was also Governor of the Château de Vincennes, then Governor of Touraine from 1588 to 1610).
