MAINE-ET-LOIRE. 1784. Comte de SERRANT. Partially printed letter from the Château de SERRANT, (at Saint Georges sur Loire 49), July 12, 1784: "Monsieur le Comte de SERRANT, desiring to have the obediences of all the Vassals and Subjects who report to his Fiefs, has obtained Lettres de Terrier, which he has had registered at the Greffe de la Sénéchaussée d'Angers, ... commits me to receive the fois, hommages, aveux, déclarations, and other obediences and recognitions which are due to him...". The letter is addressed to a vassal, Mr de CHALLAIN à la Gaudinerie, who declares various lands and vineyards he owns in the Fief de la Pinaudière parish of St Germain (49). 1 page in-4°.
