NASA. A total of 72 Xenon projectors of 20 kilowatts each and two 60-kilowatt projectors illuminate the Saturn V rocket on its launch pad at the Kennedy Space Center on November 21, 1972. It would be the last Saturn V rocket to have a "Moon Objective", as it would carry the crew of the APOLLO 17 mission, still the last to walk on the Moon. The flight took off on December 6 in a spectacular deluge of fire and flames, with astronauts Eugene A. Cernan, Commander, Ronald E. Evans, Lunar Module Pilot and Harrisson H. Schmitt, Lunar Module Pilot. Vintage silver print. NASA logo and typed caption on back. 25.5 x 20.5CM with margins.
