HÉRAULT. 1793. "MANUFACTURE OF PIKES. The Directory of the District of MONTPELLIER (34) charged by an order of the Department of current April 17, to have 4500 Pikes manufactured, warns the Citizens that the offers and bids for this manufacture will be received in the ordinary place of the meetings, until next Wednesday May 1. The Directoire will deal with the workmen who offer the best terms. Special treaties will be drawn up for the pikes, and other treaties for the poles.
