VAL-DE-MARNE. Marshal BERTHIER. Duchess Marie Elisabeth Amélie Françoise (1784-1849) was the daughter of Count William of Bavaria and Countess Marie-Anne de Deux-Ponts-Birkenfeld. On March 9, 1808, she married Louis-Alexandre Berthier, Prince de Neuchâtel et Valangin, Prince de Wagram, French General and later Maréchal d'Empire, and became Princesse de Wagram et de Neuchâtel - Letter A.S. Written to GROSBOIS (from Château de GROBOIS, Val de Marne) on October 26, 1821, addressed to Monsieur Bicquant in Versailles. Letter concerning payment of fees, followed by his reply dated November 20, 1821.
