Saintes , 30 vendémiaire an 8 (22 Oct. 1799) - to a Dear General - long personal letter of 2 pages in-folio : " ... you had also promised me the detail that I sold you... As for my horses, harness, linen and utensils, which you paid me 3,792 francs for, think General, you'll see that I'm losing out... I have obtained authorization to spend 4 decades at home, and at the end of the term I must return to Paris, to continue working with General MILET-MUREAU at the Directoire".
