Claire de CHANDENEUX femme de Lettres. Louise Lucienne Emma BÉRENGER, known as Claire de CHANDENEUX (1836-1881), was a French novelist. She wrote some thirty novels set in provincial military life. She founded two magazines, Paris littéraire and Paris charmant - Lettre A.S. aux initiales EB, written in VINCENNES on March 9, 1870. Concerning the publication of her new novel "Les remèdes contre l'amour". Signed "Emma BAILLY". (She was then married to Commandant BAILLY).
