NASA. LARGE FORMAT. APOLLO 15 mission. Beautiful lunar picture taken during the 2nd spacewalk by astronauts David R. Scott and James B. Irwin. It shows a magnificent perspective of lunar Mount ADLEY, in front of which are the astronauts' footprints on the lunar surface. This is the first time that man has been able to get close to the lunar landscape (the 1st Apollo missions were reserved for mountain-free landing zones). Also for the 1st time, the astronauts of the APOLLO 15 mission were able to travel on the Moon using the 1st extraterrestrial vehicle driven by man: the lunar rover. 1971. Later chromogenic print.
